Dynamics 365 - Hit an error while installing Microsoft Dynamics CRM Reporting Extension?

Recently, i hit an error while installing the Microsoft CRM Reporting Extension.

Why this is happening?

If the SQL Server Reporting Service installed using default settings, the service account will be set to "ReportServer " and we cannot install SRSDataConnector while SSRS service is using ‘ReportServer’ account to run.

Solution

1. Open up the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.

2. Change the Service Account to another type.

3. Provide the Password and location.

4. Save the "Encryption Key" in somewhere which is safe.

5. Restart the installer.

I hope this will help you to save some time and Happy CRM-ing.
