Dynamics 365 - Quick Create Form does not show up when creating child record from parent form?

Today i am going to show you some tips on debugging why quick create form does not show up when creating child record from parent form.

Steps for you to do a quick check.

1. Make sure the "Allow quick create" is checked.

2. Make sure Quick Create form is created.

I've enabled the setting above, but the quick create form does not show up. Why ?

  • Now you should check the parent lookup field in your child entity, in order to use the quick create form, the parent lookup field in child entity must be set as  "Business Required".

I hope this will help you to save some time and Happy CRM-ing.

  1. I did exactly as explained here. Yet, main form is what you get in a popup, not quick create form.
